Zortrax Inkspire 2 is a large volume 3D printer working in UV LCD technology in a highly automated process.

Zortrax Inkspire 2 is a high-end, large volume UV LCD 3D printer designed to work with quality resins in a highly automated, streamlined process.

Wide range of resins

The Inkspire 2, along with its complementing post-processing devices, have been thoroughly validated by the world's leading brands like BASF Forward AM and Henkel. Parts 3D printed on the Inkspire 2 and then post-processed in Zortrax Cleaning Station and Zortrax Curing Station are certified as having mechanical and thermal properties that match or even exceed those declared by the manufacturer.

At the same time, the resin ecosystem is open, so the Inkspire 2 can serve external resins too.

Proprietary light engine

A proprietary LED panel installed under the monochromatic LCD screen ensures even light distribution across the entire platform and high optical precision of every single pixel regardless of how much of the build platform is filled. The same high dimensional accuracy can be achieved both in the center and on the edges of the platform.

The light engine is also powerful enough to work with many high-grade engineering resins (cured by light with 405 nm wavelength) that used to be supported only on industrial DLP machines without losing any of the UV LCD simplicity and ease of use.

The build platform is factory-calibrated which means the Inkspire 2 is ready for work out of the box. If necessary, the printer can be also calibrated by the user following a simple manual found in the menu. The calibration process is based on the adjustment of 3 platform screws.

A vast majority of the workflow is fully automated in the Inkspire 2.

• The printer automatically measures how much resin is needed to print a given model and checks if the amount in the tank and in the bottle is enough.

• Sedimentation of more advanced resins during longer prints is prevented by an automatic wiper.

• When a power outage is detected, the Inkspire 2 can safely shut down and finish the printing process once the power is back on.

• Finally, when the work is done, the Inkspire 2 can transfer the remaining resin back to the bottle. All these above-mentioned features make working with resins a simple, carefree experience.

ZORTRAX CLEANING STATION

Zortrax Cleaning Station is a post-processing device made to remove excessive, uncured resin from models' surfaces. It is a standalone device that can be used to support all types of resin 3D printers available on the market. It’s dedicated to post-process even most professional and demanding resins (quality approved by BASF Forward AM and Henkel/Loctite).

The impeller-based cleaning system

The impeller reduces the risk of damaging precise, fragile prints. The entire cleaning process lasts for about 5 minutes and is fully automated. When it is done, the top cover opens up and the build platform with clean prints is moved out of the cleaning fluid.

Filtering system

Due to filters constantly working in the Zortrax Cleaning Station, the isopropyl alcohol can be reused in multiple cleaning sessions.

Compatible with Inkspire 2

The build platform holder in the Zortrax Cleaning Station is compatible with the Zortrax Inkspire 2 build platform which enables placing the printed models in the device without touching them.

ZORTRAX CURING STATION

Zortrax Curing Station is a professional post-processing device which provides UV light exposure required to achieve desired mechanical properties of models 3D printed with photopolymer resins.Zortrax Curing Station has been designed to provide necessary UV curing for models 3D printed on a resin 3D printer. UV exposure time is set individually for each supported resin but usually does not exceed a few minutes. It’s dedicated to post-process even the most professional and demanding resins (quality approved by BASF Forward AM and Henkel/Loctite).

The curing process is fully automated
Post-processing takes place in a controlled and safe environment to guarantee consistent results.

Soft close door with glass and a layer of UV filter
Together, the two layers ensure the user can safely watch the curing process with no UV radiation getting outside of the curing chamber. The device has a sensor which immediately shuts down the UV lamps when the door is open.

The curing chamber is made with metal sheets polished according to the class EN 10088-2 2P / ASTM No. 8 with mirror finish, which provide uniform UV exposure for the cured models. Consistency of exposure is further enhanced by a rotating table on which the parts being cured are placed. This way, the post-processed models are free of weak spots caused by insufficient UV exposure. A separate system prevents the UV LEDs from overheating.

Zortrax Curing Station was tested along with the Zortrax Inkspire 2 resin 3D printer in thorough validation procedures. In result, both are proven to achieve desired mechanical and thermal properties of chosen BASF Forward AM and Henkel materials when used together.
