The Modix MAMA-1700 is an industrial FGF (Fused Granulate Fabrication) 3D printer designed for high-throughput production using plastic pellets instead of filament. By printing with granulates, it significantly reduces material costs while unlocking access to a wider range of industrial and recycled polymers.
With its dual capability, the MAMA-1700 also includes the Griffin Ultra filament print head, enabling detailed prints with extrusion rates of up to 0.5 kg per hour. This hybrid setup provides the flexibility to switch between pellet-based production and filament-based precision printing.
Built for speed and scale, the MAMA-1700 enables rapid production of large parts, reducing project timelines from days to hours. Its large build capacity makes it ideal for prototyping, tooling, and production-grade components.
By using plastic granulates, the MAMA-1700 dramatically reduces material costs compared to traditional filament printing. This makes it a cost-effective solution for high-volume production and large-scale prototyping.
Pellet-based printing opens access to a wide range of materials, including high-performance polymers, recycled plastics, and custom blends. This allows businesses and research facilities to experiment, innovate, and produce parts with specialised properties.
Supplied as a self-assembly kit, the MAMA-1700 can be installed in locations where fully assembled machines cannot fit, including workshops with limited access or narrow entry points.
The MAMA-1700 delivers a strong return on investment by reducing both material costs and production time. It is ideal for manufacturers, design studios, and research labs looking to scale production efficiently.
