Reusable vacuum-sealed filament storage containers designed to help protect 3D printer filament from moisture between drying and printing.
3D printer filament can absorb moisture from the surrounding environment, which can affect printing performance and finished print quality. The PrintDry Vacuum Filament Container provides a sealed storage solution designed to reduce exposure to moisture-containing air.
This four-piece container pack is ideal for users who already own a compatible PrintDry vacuum pump and require additional storage capacity. The containers can be used to store filament between printing projects or after drying.
Each container features a dedicated vacuum valve that allows air to be removed using a compatible PrintDry vacuum pump. Creating a vacuum helps reduce the amount of air surrounding the filament inside the container.
When used with the compatible PrintDry electric vacuum pump, the system can achieve approximately -30kPa of vacuum. This provides a practical way to create a consistent sealed storage environment for filament.
The integrated vacuum valve provides a simple visual indication of the seal. When the container is fully vacuum sealed, the centre of the valve moves inward from its original position.
Each container measures 265mm in outside diameter and 115mm in height. The maximum stated filament spool dimensions are 205mm in diameter and 85mm in height, making the containers suitable for many standard 3D printer filament spools.
The PrintDry Vacuum Filament Container 4PC is supplied without a vacuum pump, making it a practical choice for customers who already have the PrintDry vacuum storage system.
A compatible vacuum pump can be used across the individual containers to remove air and create the vacuum seal, providing additional storage capacity without requiring another pump.
For additional moisture control, desiccant can be placed inside the containers alongside the filament. Combining a vacuum-sealed storage environment with suitable desiccant can help maintain filament in a dry condition between printing sessions.
Not included: Vacuum pump, filament spool and desiccant.
Storage recommendation: PrintDry recommends releasing and reapplying the vacuum at least once a month to help prevent the container base from buckling.
